We are supported in part by a grant from the Boston Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Additional support for the FPAC Gallery is provided by a grant from Grand Circle Corporation. Other supporters include private donors and members.

....Ithaka Contracting & Design is my company. We are a small Boston based company, which is fully licensed and insured. We will be doing much of the work for the build out and handling the permitting. Ithaka Contracting & Design has clientele including Maloney Properties Inc, Choice Health leasing, for whom we have fabricated and installed custom cabinetry outfitted for dental/medical facilities, and various residential and commercial entities in the Greater Boston area and other areas of Massachusetts. We also are capable of fabricating custom architectural components from lighting to hardware to countertops, utilizing glass, metal, and virtually any material. Our knowledge and expertise with glass includes hot cast glass, kiln cast, laminated, enameled, machined, handblown, and virtually any studio or industrial material process as well as R&D for potential projects.

....Boston Contractors & Developers is a Boston based company, specializing in medium size construction projects in both the residential and commercial fields. The construction manager and president of the company is Isam K. Hijazi. Projects for the company include a wide variety of types, ranging from residential condo renovations of multiunit structures, to foundation-to-finish projects such as office space and other commercial developments.

...Classic Display Inc. is a Pawtucket, RI based company located in an old mill building where the previous audio recording for SOUNDSCAPE was held. The company manufactures point of purchase displays, custom store units, and provides a myriad of other services to clients ranging from Reebok to Dunkin Donuts to the State of Rhode Island’s Welcome Center Organization. The operation currently employs a staff of about 40 people. Michael Cronan is the president of Classic Display Inc. He is also the president of Cronan realty. Cronan Realty is the small entity which owns the 100, 000 sq. ft. mill where classic display and several other businesses are located. Cronan Realty also owns a small number of residential units in the Southern Massachusetts area.

...American Ramp provided us, at no charge, with a normally $2,000 ramp rental to make the use of the freight elevator for handicap accessibility possible. The use of the freight elevator for legal passenger travel was handled properly with the hiring of a licensed elevator operator/mechanic. This service was paid for by Ithaka Contracting & Design.

...Hajjar Management Company Inc. is owner of a large portfolio of commercial and residential properties in Boston Proper, greater Boston, Brockton, Cape Cod and other areas. Properties include residential apartment buildings, office space, retail, strip malls, etc. The president of Hajjar Management is Chuck Hajjar who is co-owner of the Charlesmark Hotel on Bolyston St. in Boston. The lounge at the hotel, the Charlesmark Lounge, was designed by the award winning Duffy Design Group.

...Harpoon Helps is the philanthropic arm of the Harpoon Brewery. It's mission is to support local charities throughout New England with donations of fresh Harpoon beer and volunteer hours. Each year Harpoon donates thousands of dollars in merchandise and many barrels of beer to New England charities, and every month we invite Friends of Harpoon and Harpoon staff members to participate in Harpoon Helps missions.

...Minuteman Security, Inc. (MSI) is one of the fastest growing and most professional private security firms on the east coast of the United States. MSI provides expertise in all security measures that can be tailored to meet organizational and individual needs.

MSI was incorporated as a Massachusetts corporation in 1986, Michael P. Conlon, President of MSI, has been in the security business since 1976. The company employs over 100 people. Sound engineer Owen Curtin of Emerson College and New England Institute of Art and the Mix Hut Recording Studio sponsored the event by working for practically nothing. He also brings a team of volunteer students to make the very complicated sound engineering for the project possible. It was a great learning opportunity for them.

SOUNDSCAPE and the future: A goal of this production is for it to happen again in different areas, with different concepts each time. It would be a help to the production's continued life, just to establish connections with groups and individuals who could be a part of this in any respect. They could be in Massachusetts, anywhere in the country, or anywhere in the world, if the opportunity makes sense.
